If your gut is not used to taking prebiotics of any kind, it's a good idea to start with a 1/2 serving of Gut Power™ for a few days before going to the full dose. This is because even though Sunfiber® (our prebiotic) is the best-tolerated prebiotic on the market, there is still a slight chance that you might experience a little bit of bloating or gas if you go straight to taking a full dose.
To make sure your experience with Gut Power™ is fantastic, we recommend taking a half dose for a couple days and then bumping up to the full serving!
We love your enthusiasm! While you don’t need to consume more than one serving of Gut Power™ each day to get the health benefits, you’re absolutely welcome to!
We created Gut Power™ so that each serving contains exactly what you need to get the benefits of both prebiotics and probiotics.
But if you’re loving your daily Gut Power™ and you’d like to consume more, research shows that our prebiotic, Sunfiber®, is tolerated well when consuming up to 20 grams per day. Each serving of Gut Power™ contains 6 grams of Sunfiber®, so you can consume up to 3 servings daily.
That said, if this is something you’re interested in doing, we recommend taking it very slowly! Start with ½ serving as recommended, then 1 serving daily. After a few days of 1 serving daily, you can try another serving, and so on.
Basically, you just want to make sure you’re giving your gut bacteria a chance to get used to each increased dose!
Not necessarily! Probiotic benefits are strain-specific. This means that different strains of probiotics are useful for different purposes and are needed in different amounts to provide particular benefits. You can learn more about the strain-specific effects of probiotics here.

So no fear putting Gut Power™ Drinks into hot water -- you’ll still get your probiotics!
Nope! The probiotics in Gut Power™ survive just fine at room temperature, so there's no need to refrigerate.
That said, the matcha in Gut Power™ Matcha will start to lose flavor and color the longer it’s left exposed to heat or air. Because of this, you may want to store your pouch of matcha in the fridge if you're not consuming it daily to lengthen its shelf-life.

Each serving of Gut Power™ Matcha contains about 50mg of caffeine, which is about half the amount in a cup of coffee.
